Registering for Hour Republic via Google (Students)

#1. Navigate to the Hour Republic home page and click Register in the top-right corner

#2. Click the Sign up with Google button

Only use the email address assigned to you by your school district or institution. Do not use your personal email address unless told otherwise.

➡️ You might also see Google in the top-right of your screen (depending on how Chrome is configured). If so, click the Continue button. 

#3. Select your Google account.
If your email account does not automatically appear, then select Use another account

#4. Enter your school-assigned Email address (or confirm that it is accurate), and click Next

#5. Enter the password associated with your Google account, and click Next, then Confirm

#6. Select your School District or Institution as well as your School or Program, and click Next

➡️ If the email domain that you tried registering with does not match, then you will see a message like this:

#7. Complete the registration form and click Next

Password Tips
– Passwords require a length of at least 8 characters
– 8 character passwords require at least one special character
– Passwords with 9 or more characters don’t need any special characters, capitals or numbers
– We recommend creating a password that consists of 2 random words (or more) followed by a 3 character number. For example: word-word-word#

Registering for Hour Republic: How do teachers sign up via hourrepublic.com?

Please note that teacher accounts undergo an internal verification process before access is provided. For quicker access, please email             info[at]charityrepublic.com and notify our team when you have registered for a teacher account.

#1. Click here to start the teacher registration process.

#2. Enter your school-assigned Email address & click Next, or click the Sign up with Google button

*Only use the email address assigned to you by your school district or institution. Do not use your personal email address unless advised.

#3a. If Sign up with Google is selected, then proceed to this FAQ: Google Sign Up

#3b. Select your School District or Institution as well as your School or Program, and click Next

➡️ If the email domain that you tried registering with does not match, then you will see a message like this:

#4. “Thank you for registering!”
We sent you a verification email. Check your email to continue the registration process.

The email comes from noreply@hourrepublic.com and the link will expire in 2 hours. If it has expired, then try registering again, and a new email will be sent.

➡️ If you did not receive the email, then:
(i) Check your spam or junk folder
(ii) Search your email for: noreply@hourrepublic.com
(iii) Report the issue to our customer service team

#5. Click the Complete Registration button in the email that you received

#6. Complete the registration form and click Next

Registering an Account: How do students sign up via hourrepublic.com?

#1. Navigate to the Hour Republic home page and click Register in the top-right corner

Registering for Hour Republic: What if a student did not receive a verification email?

When students register, they receive an email message in order to verify their email address. If a student has checked their spam/junk folder to confirm that the email was not received, then teachers have the option to send students a verification link.

1. In the Students section, select a student
2. Click the “i” icon under the student’s profile, and in the General tab, you will see the invitation link at the bottom of the page:

3. Click the green Copy invitation link for... and share it with the student – paste that link into a Chat or Email message.

The copy link always includes the name of the student but please be cautious and ensure that you are sharing the link with the correct student. 

This is the same link that the student would have received had the email gone through. 

When students click to open the invitation link, it prompts them to register for an Hour Republic account.

How do I reset my password and find my username?

Can’t remember your password? Please follow the instructions below.

Log In Page

1. On the Hour Republic home page, click Log In

2. Click the Reset Password button

3. Enter your email address, then click Reset Password, and you will be sent an email containing your new password

Tip

Change Your Password

If you would like to update your newly reset password into something that is easier to remember, then follow these steps:

1. Visit to your Account Settings

2. Change your password in the Password field

3.Click 

Teachers / Coordinators Can Reset Passwords

Students can ask their teacher/coordinator to send them a temporary password.

(i) In the Students section, you will notice 3 dots to the right of a student name 
Click the 3 dots, and select Reset Password in the drop-down.                                    This sends the student a temporary password.

(ii) Under the student’s profile, click this icon then click the General tab

At the bottom of the General tab, you can see the email address associated with the student’s registration as well as the student’s username.

Teachers / Coordinators can look up the username and email address associated with your registered account:

(i) In the main Students section, there is a Username column that shows a student’s username

(ii) Under the student’s profile, click this icon then click the General tab
